JACKSONVILLE, IL – State Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) is pleased to announce that he has received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association in the Republican Primary for the 100th House District.
The National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) gave Davidsmeyer an “A” rating and their endorsement for “being a solid pro-gun/pro-hunting candidate who is an advocate for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.”
C.D. Davidsmeyer has a pro-gun owner voting record in the Illinois House. As a strong supporter of our Second Amendment rights, C.D. worked hard to pass Illinois’ Concealed Carry law, making Illinois join the other 49 states with Concealed Carry.
“As a responsible gun owner and someone who enjoys the shooting sports, I am fighting to protect our constitutional freedoms from those who would take away our rights,” Davidsmeyer said. “I appreciate the endorsement and support of the NRA. I am committed to upholding our Second Amendment rights and will continue to oppose the gun-grabbing agenda of the liberal Chicago politicians.”
Representative Davidsmeyer recently voted against Senate Bill 1657, an onerous state licensing requirement for only small, independent gun shops, which was vetoed by the Governor this week.
“It is my honor and privilege to serve as your State Representative. I ask for your continued support in the Republican Primary on March 20th.”
C.D. Davidsmeyer is proudly endorsed by the following organizations: A.B.A.T.E., Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Citizens for Life, Illinois Education Association (IPACE), Illinois Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR, Illinois Federation for Right to Life, Illinois Nurses Association, and the National Rifle Association (NRA-PVF).
